Kathy Griffin says a ‘naked’ Sharon Stone comforted her amid divorce
Kathy Griffin has revealed that she was comforted by a ‘naked’ Sharon Stone during her ongoing divorce from estranged husband Randy Bick, which has left her ‘sobbing and heartbroken.’
The 63-year-old comedian told fans she was ‘nursing a heartache’ in February after filing for divorce from Randy, 45, in December 2023, and decided to call on the Basic Instinct actress to help her get through the difficult time, which even saw her hire a private investigator to find Randy in order to serve him the divorce papers.
During an appearance on The View on Tuesday, Kathy explained to the panel that she’d been leaning on good pal Jane Fonda before admitting: ‘And then the next week I made another bat phone call and I called the one and only Sharon Stone.
‘And I went to her house and cried on her shoulder. But when I went to her house she forgot I was coming over and no joke, she met me at the door naked,’ Kathy continued, as hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin burst out laughing.

‘Naked! And then held me naked doing breathing exercises!’ she said as Sara, 46, replied: ‘That’s what friends are for!’ to which Kathy responded: ‘That is a good friend, that is a good friend.’
When mom-of-three Sara asked Kathy how she was doing following her split from Randy, the redhead replied: ‘Well, I will say, my girlfriends are circling the wagons and what would we do without our girlfriends? It’s true, it’s really true.’
As the live studio audience applauded her, Kathy added: ‘And, of course, my gays,’ before she revealed she was ‘sobbing’ and ‘heartbroken.’
The comedian admitted she had ‘been through hell and back’ as Whoopi, 68, told her: ‘That’s right but you are back and that’s what’s important.’
Sara sympathized and commented on how Kathy had ‘suffered so much,’ to which she responded: ‘No-fly list. Interpol list. Stopped at the airport, whole thing. Pill addiction. Suicide attempt.’
She then added: ‘And I was on a psych hold for three days so was like Britney [Spears] and Kanye [West] combined and it’s like I walked into my own act. Psych hold for three days! But now I’m in recovery and sober three and a half years.’
Kathy married marketing executive Randy on New Year’s Day in 2020, but filed for divorce on December, 29, 2023 citing irreconcilable differences.
Last week it was reported that Randy is requesting spousal support and for his attorney’s fees to be covered by the comic.

Randy filed the request after Kathy hired a private investigator to track him down and serve him with divorce papers after his whereabouts became unknown to her.
According to the filing, he had not been in contact with the My Life On The D-List star since leaving their shared home, and he didn’t communicate where he was ‘residing or staying.’
When she initially filed for divorce, Kathy asked the court to enforce the prenup and terminate its ability to grant alimony to either party, according to People at the time.
Sources previously told DailyMail.com that Randy became a ‘homebody’ and lost his lust for life.
After ‘growing apart,’ Kathy reportedly felt divorce would be the only way she could ever feel like herself again.
